Jon Atkinson is the Head Coach of Charlottesville Alliance FC for the inaugural 2018 Season. Atkinson brings expertise from his long coaching career at Longwood University where he has been the head coach for twelve seasons and was chosen as the Big South Coach of the Year in 2013. Prior to his appointment to head at Longwood in 2005, Atkinson spent two seasons as an assistant for the Lancers. Atkinson holds a US Soccer Coaching A License and serves on the Board of Directors for the Thunder FC soccer program in Farmville, Virginia.
Atkinson is a native of Newcastle, England and played professionally at Sunderland and Darlington FC. Atkinson will be accompanied at Alliance FC by his Longwood assistant coach, Sam Avery, who has served as Atkinson’s assistant for the past 3 years.
He has two Bachelor's degrees from English universities and an MBA from West Virginia Wesleyan. He is married to Nikki, and together they have one daughter and three sons.
David Deaton has worked for nearly 20 years in both for-profit and non-profit companies, where his tenure has focused on pricing, forecasting, market analysis, market research, and strategic planning. David has led significant soccer community outreach including collaborations with Boys and Girls Club and International Rescue Committee, mentoring for refugees interested in soccer, soccer infrastructure development, free weekly soccer clinics in low-income communities, and most notably managed Aromas Cafe FC during a highly successful 2015 Open Cup campaign.
Director of Operations
Chris DuBois is a founding partner at Sticks Kebob Shops, which he and his partners started in 2001. Through Sticks' community partnerships, Chris has had the opportunity to support and work with a variety of non-profits, such as City Schoolyard Gardens and Girls on the Run. Chris also serves on the Board of Directors for The Front Porch, a non-profit roots music school in Charlottesville.
Director of Legal Affairs
Connor Crook is an owner of FS Tool Group which manufactures premium equipment for the construction and sports industries. Prior to founding FS Tool, Connor practiced law in Virginia and North Carolina for 13 years, and continues to advise a select group of companies in general matters.
Director of Coaching
Jason Fargo has worked for the past 12 years in youth soccer as well as academia as a program director, coach, and educator. While working as a youth soccer program director Jason was responsible for managing schedules, players, and coaches. Implementing soccer ideas, tactics, and philosophies into the program as well as building relationships with other soccer professionals in the area and state. Jason currently holds his USSF "B" and "National Youth" licenses and has coached high level youth players for local youth soccer clubs and Virginia Youth Soccer Associations (VYSA) Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Director of Player Development and Recruitment
Price A. Thomas is the Director of Marketing for The Montpelier Foundation and the CEO of Gradum Academy, one of the country's first soccer-specific training centers to use a data-focused approach to youth player development. Gradum Academy utilizes this approach along with a 5:1 staff to player ratio to bring highly customized and individual training programs to each of their players, maximizing player progression during formative developmental years.
Director of Grant Development
Leeza Constantoulakis is a registered nurse, with experience working in primary care, urgent care, and neuro/spine surgery. Prior to moving to Charlottesville, Leeza worked in government affairs for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in Washington, DC where she was responsible for advocacy efforts and tracking federal legislation related to nursing education, research, and practice. Leeza is currently a PhD student at the University of Virginia.
Director of Social Media and Community Engagement
Martín Braun has been working as a Budget Analyst for the University of Virginia Cancer Center Office of Clinical Research for the past 3 years. Martín has been coaching for SOCA in their Elite Travel program for the last 3 seasons as well as volunteering as an assistant coach for Charlottesville High School's soccer team for the past 2 seasons.
Director of Latino Outreach
Luis Grande graduated from Radford University with an undergraduate degree in Business Management, and with an MBA. His focus has always been on forming, developing and maintaining professional relationships. In his current role, applying data and market analysis has enabled him to provide a strategic vision of the accounts under management. He is an insatiable worker, passionate about diversity, and a huge advocate of FUTBOL as a vehicle to aspiring for a better life.
Director of Fan Engagement
Andrew Kinback currently serves as Charlottesville’s American Outlaws chapter president and is an avid fan of the Richmond Kickers and Liverpool FC. Kinback has strong ties and a long history with the soccer fan base in Charlottesville.
Director of Information Technology
David Bass is CEO and Senior Architect at NGNSYS, LLC an advanced technology consulting firm specializing in data center designs (Arista and Cisco Nexus, cloud, multi-tenant managed services, and typical enterprise data centers), IPv6, network assessments, and managed services for companies that do not have the expertise in house to support more advanced technology.
